Building on a bumper year in 2006 and the exposure of some fine new talent, Audi Channel and The Hospital are proud to announce the completion of the Audi Channel Reel Talent Awards 2007. A comprehensive development award created by The Hospital, the Reel Talent Awards give film makers the chance to turn a screenplay into an award-winning film.

It all started with this year’s theme – First. The best three screenplays based on this theme were chosen from over 200 entries and the 3 winning teams went on to each win a £10,000 prize to make their films. Their films will premiere at a VIP event at The Hospital in October 2007, and go on to be showcased at major UK film festivals.

Chris Hawken, Audi’s Brand Communications Manager, says:  “The “First” theme for this year’s award fits perfectly with the Audi brand ethos – Vorsprung durch Technik. The finished films will be available to view on the Audi channel. This was the very first platform of its kind and one which will enable us to help the winning film makers reach a large audience”.

Duncan Cargill, Creative and Membership Director of The Hospital Club says:  “We’re thrilled with the finished films. It has been an exciting competition that has revealed some outstanding talent and we feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to nurture these 3 teams of film makers and deliver some great new work. This is what The Hospital Club is all about.”
